On 6th November, a new community-powered campaign, Give Local Barnet, officially launched to encourage residents, businesses, and organisations to support local charities and grassroots groups across the borough.
Led by Young Barnet Foundation and supported by the Barnet Together partnership, the campaign aims to build a fairer, safer, stronger, and more connected Barnet by encouraging people to Give Where You Live.
“Barnet is home to hundreds of small charities and community groups doing vital work. Many of these groups support our most vulnerable residents – from children and young people to older adults and those facing mental health or financial challenges. But they often lack the capacity to fundraise while delivering essential services. Give Local Barnet is here to change that.”

Funds raised through the campaign will be distributed as grants to local organisations, enabling them to deliver targeted activities and services where they’re needed most. The campaign is built on the principle of Generous Leadership – the belief that everyone has something valuable to give, whether it’s time, money, skills, or resources.
Residents are encouraged to get involved by donating, volunteering, sharing campaign materials, or simply spreading the word. Businesses and community leaders are also invited to champion the campaign and help amplify its reach.
